This next generation endoscopic soft tissue release platform combines A.M. Surgical’s patented Clear Cannula with an actuating, dual-direction blade capable of cutting retrograde or antegrade. RETRA improves upon existing retrograde release systems by way of improved visualization, remarkable blade sharpness, and additional safety/control features.
RETRA allows controlled cutting in either the retrograde or antegrade direction, offering flexibility based on surgeon preference. The trigger actuated blade is height adjustable for an even greater level of precision.
A.M. Surgical’s patented Clear cannula provides industry leading endoscopic visualization of surrounding anatomy and target tissue throughout the entire procedure, resulting in a more confident surgical experience.
With a simple click of the Cannula Release Button the RETRA cannula remains static in the carpal tunnel throughout the procedure mitigating median nerve and/or flexor tendon subluxation during active ligament release. This added safety feature has received high-praise from leading teaching institutions and in general use.
Both RETRA configurations provide the same core device technology, procedural functionality, and dual-direction cutting capability. The difference is simply how RETRA connects to the arthroscope.
RETRA features a quick-connect coupling mechanism designed to click directly onto compatible 4mm, 30° reverse-cant style arthroscopes.
The streamlined connection simplifies attachment and is designed around the reverse-cant scope configuration preferred by many RETRA users.
